Are the end times even worth talking about
Well, I like talking about all things God and the Bible, so for me, the answer is yes, they are worth talking about. But, this is true only in an academic way. I don't think it's very important, or relevant if you prefer, for our salvation. John Lennox says that he is moving towards the end times at two speeds: his personal speed here on earth because he is going to eventually die, and the Biblical speed because the end times will eventually occur. I agree. Statistically speaking it is very unlikely that the end times will occur in my generation. The end times have probably been predicted almost since the beginning of recorded history, but let's just look at the Christian end times. That was predicted over 2000 years ago and Jesus said it could happen at any time, or at least that we should live as if it could happen at any time (Matthew 24:36) .
